Recently, the Gelgoog technical delivery team successfully completed the installation and commissioning of a 1-ton-per-hour (1T/H) fresh garlic processing and packaging line for a major garlic enterprise in Mexico. The line successfully passed the client’s final acceptance inspection. Demonstrating exceptional performance in both enhancing processing efficiency and ensuring product quality, the production line earned high acclaim from the client. During the acceptance process, the client’s representative inspected each piece of equipment along the line, taking photos and expressing their strong approval, thereby offering full affirmation of the comprehensive, full-lifecycle turnkey solution provided by Gelgoog.
Mexico has long held a pivotal position in the global garlic supply market. The client involved in this collaboration has been deeply rooted in the industry for over a decade, having established a complete industrial chain encompassing cultivation, procurement, storage, and sales. Driven by an increasingly optimistic outlook regarding the market potential for value-added garlic products, the client decided to expand their business into the realm of fresh garlic and related derivatives.

As a new entrant in this specific sector, the client sought an integrated solution covering every stage—from industry research and factory planning to the actual processing steps of clove separation, peeling, sorting, packaging, and preservation. Drawing upon their extensive experience in garlic processing, the Gelgoog team—after thoroughly analyzing the raw material characteristics, required production capacity, and on-site conditions—crafted a bespoke, end-to-end garlic peeling production line solution for the client. The entire line features an automated design that ensures seamless and efficient integration across all critical processing stages, resulting in a significant boost to overall operational efficiency and stability.

In the core processing stages, the client placed particular emphasis on achieving high peeling rates while minimizing product damage. Gelgoog’s proprietary garlic clove separation and peeling equipment—the result of five years of continuous optimization and hundreds of material-handling trials—effectively achieves a high peeling rate while keeping the damage rate to a minimum. Furthermore, the equipment is versatile enough to accommodate garlic bulbs of varying specifications, ranging from 4.5 cm to 6.5 cm in diameter. The accompanying washing system efficiently removes impurities—such as root bases and stems—ensuring the processed garlic meets the rigorous standards required for direct packaging.

Regarding product preservation, Gelgoog’s Food Process Laboratory conducted a series of systematic trials tailored to various packaging formats. This research yielded a wealth of supporting data, providing the client with a reliable foundation for effectively extending the shelf life of their products.
Following the on-site installation, commissioning, and a trial run involving small-batch production, the processing line has now entered stable commercial operation. Both its continuous production capacity and the consistency of the finished products have demonstrated marked improvements. Client feedback states: “The gelgoog team is both professional and efficient; from the initial design phase to the final project implementation, every stage was precisely tailored to meet our needs. Moving forward, we look forward to further collaboration on value-added processing projects, such as garlic paste and garlic flakes.”
